Rep Tryouts - May 5-14, Pre Tryout Clinic Ice - April 8-29

Tryouts - U13B, U15B/BB, U18B/BB - May 5-14

The REP coach applications have closed and interviews/selections should conclude by the end of February. We are still in need of applicants for the U15B team so if anyone knows of a qualified and/or interested person please send them my way for more information. 

A new OGHA Tryout Policy and Procedure has been posted on the website and this year must be read and acknowledged by each participant as part of the registration process.  You can see the policy here;

Rep Tryout Policy

Tryouts will begin May5^th and conclude May 14th. The only exception being U11 which will have their tryouts in late September after a four-week pre-tryout clinic as well. This year the OWHA has just changed the U11 options but OGHA ice was already secured and booked so we will keep with the original plan and re-evaluate for next season. 

All tryouts are on the Rotary Green surface.  Below are the dates and times for each division (these will also be posted on the master calendar):

U13B

1. May 12, 7-8 PM
2. May 13, 1-2 PM
3. Final Cut, May 14, 8:20 - 9:30 AM

U15BB

1. May 5, 7-8 PM
2. May 6, 2-3 PM
3. Final Cut, May 12, 8-9 PM

U15B (note that these skaters could have skated in the U15BB tryouts as well, and are encouraged to do so)

1. May 13, 2-3 PM
2. Final Cut, May 14, 9:30-10:40 AM

U18BB

1. May 5, 8-9:30 PM
2. May 6, 3-4:30 PM
3. Final Cut, May 12, 9-10 PM

U18B (note that these skaters could have skated in the U18BB tryouts as well, and are encouraged to do so)

1. May 13, 3-4 PM
2. May 14, 6:30-7:30 PM

Registration Instructions

1. Follow the Ramp Registrations link above
2. Please select 'CLINICS' from the first menu
3. Select '2023-24 Rep Tryouts and Clinic Ice'
4. Select your player
5. Select payment type
6. Read the tryout policy and check the box 
7. Select payment type
8. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click 'submit'

Tryout registration fee is $70.00 this year, which includes 4 clinics in April (see below).

No skater will be allowed on the ice (at clinic or tryout) until fees have been paid in full.

Pre-Tryout Practice/Clinics

New this year will be a 4-week tryout clinic prior to tryouts taking place. The clinic will run Saturday's April 8th-29th between 12:00-2:00pm depending on age and will be for REP players/registered tryout participants only. Cost for the clinic is included in the tryout fee and will be up to each registrant whether they wish to participate or not in the clinic ice.

Brady Leavold from BLeav Hockey and Puck Support will run our tryout camps this April. He’s super excited to be back with us again
