
City of Orillia Facilities Update - January 31st

Hawks and Visitors;
I'm sure many of you are wondering what exactly the reopening will look like at Brian Orser Arena and Rotary Place. We've gotten the details from the City, which are posted in the body of this article.
City of Orillia Facilities COVID Measures - As of January 31st, 2022
1. Arena Dressing Rooms – reduced capacity to 12 per room at Rotary Place and 8 per room at Brian Orser Arena. It is up to the user groups to ensure maximum capacities in dressing rooms are maintained.
2. Masks are required at all times while in our recreation facilities, except when entering the playing surface. This includes changerooms, washrooms and spectator areas.
3. Everyone over the age of 12 is required to be fully vaccinated (2 doses plus 14 days) to enter a recreation facility.
4. Proof of vaccination MUST be the QR Code provided by the Government of Ontario, no other forms of vaccination proof will be accepted. ID that has the Full Name and Date of Birth is required as well. ID’s for those over 18 must be an original hard copy (no photocopies or photos of ID’s will be accepted).
5. COVID-19 Facility Entrance Waiver must be completed by everyone entering a recreation facility.
6. Spectator areas are reduced to 50% capacity. Signs will be posted on each spectator area with the maximum capacity.
