Season Cancelled
Submitted By Executive on Wednesday, February 17, 2021
The 2020/2021 season has been a season that no one could
have predicted. Our love of hockey has
been impacted as we have adjusted to life in a pandemic. The ultimate goal of the OGHA Executive was
to provide our members with a safe setting to enjoy the game of hockey.
As you are aware, the lockdown that Province of Ontario entered into just before Christmas has now ended and the Simcoe/Muskoka District Health Unit is now in a Red Control Zone. Based on the Red Control, available ice and other factors the OGHA Executive has decided to end the 2020/2021 season.
We would like to thank our coaches, trainers and families for their hard work and understanding throughout this season. Although our organization did not play a single game the Executive considers the season a successful one. We made it through without any cancellations due to positive Covid tests and saw lots of players enjoying being on the ice.
Our plan is to host tryouts in the fall under OWHA regulations for the upcoming season. We will post regular updates for our members as we move forward.
Thank you,
OGHA Executive
