Another victory for the ORILLIA HAWKS SENIOR C LADIES HOCKEY TEAM!, News (Orillia Girls Hockey Association)

Congratulations ladies on winning the Toronto Leaside March Break Senior B Tournament

This past weekend the ladies brought home another gold medal!   The Orillia Senior C team defeated Barrie Sharks Senior C Team 4-2 in the gold medal game.  Kayla Lacroix started the win off by scoring the first goal assisted by Jessi Cranney and Danielle Jeffreys.   Goal 2 scored by Haylee Lawlor assisted by Cora Shilling and Mikayla Rae.  Goal 3 scored by Haylee Lawlor unassisted and Goal 4 scored by Danielle Jeffreys assisted by Haylee Lawlor and Betsy Maus, Robin Root in net.

Game 1 in the round robin resulted in a 0-1 loss to Barrie Sharks.  

Game 2 was a tie to the Brampton B team with goals going to:  Laura Kennedy assisted by Jessi Cranney; Mikayla Rae unassisted; Crystal Ferguson assisted by Mikayla Rae; and Mikayla Rae unassisted.  

Game 3 vs Leaside Senior C ended in an 8-0 victory.  Goals going to:  Haylee Lawlor with 4 unassisted goals; Danielle Jeffreys assisted by Haylee Lawlor; Haylee Lawlor assisted by Mikayla Rae; Mikayla Rae unassisted and Laura Kennedy assisted by Mikayla Rae.


The Orillia Senior C Ladies Team defeated the Barrie Sharks in the playdown games, which advanced the team to the provincial tournament. 

The team will represent OGHA at the OWHA Provincial Tournament scheduled for April 8-10, 2016.
