The Ontario Women’s Hockey Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Doug Nicholls.



 

Doug NichollsThroughout life, you have the opportunity of sharing work and personal experiences with many very special people and Doug truly was exceptional.

He was a long-time supporter and volunteer with the OWHA who served on the Board from 1985 to 2011 and continued to serve the Association until the time of his death. Doug was a very kind and caring person who exemplified the values of the OWHA.

He gave of himself continuously and would do whatever it took to provide fairness in deliberations and decisions in support of all participants and the individuals involved. He worked at any hour, any day of the year and could be found on his email whenever medical circumstances took him to a hospital.

Doug was respected and loved by his family, colleagues and friends and truly enriched thousands of lives while leaving a very powerful legacy. Our thoughts are with Leisa, David and the family.
